In Q3 2021, the top sandbox games on the Android platform in Africa exhibited a range of performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s a breakdown of the top five games:

Roblox showed notable fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $58.6K in early July and ending the quarter around $50.7K. Weekly downloads for Roblox remained robust, ranging from 71.9K to 97K, with a significant spike at the end of September. Active users saw a steady increase, reaching over 2.24M by the end of the quarter.

Block Craft 3D：Building Game experienced relatively stable weekly revenue, fluctuating between $48 and $148. Downloads for Block Craft 3D saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping from 74K in late June to just over 13K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 363.5K to 205.3K.

Craftsman: Building Craft did not generate any revenue during this period but showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 66.6K in late August. Active users for Craftsman also increased, reaching 288K by the end of September.

Eerskraft also reported no revenue. However, its weekly downloads varied significantly, with a peak of about 65.7K at the end of August. Active users for Eerskraft saw a notable rise, peaking at 122.4K in late August before declining to 56K by the end of the quarter.
